Terms & Conditions
1. Duration:
- The competition is open for entry from 21 October 2021 - 31 March 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the competition period)
2. Eligibility:
- The competition is open to any individual that finances a vehicle through Bank Windhoek during the specified campaign period. This competition excludes the direct families and employees of Bank Windhoek, Capricorn Group and its subsidiaries, any company within the Group Companies, and its subsidiaries in Namibia may not participate in these competitions (i.e., they will not have a “qualifying entry”).
- All entrants will be required to comply with all product application requirements with emphasis that the prize may only be awarded to individuals if he/she/they are FIA compliant.
- Should an entrant not be able to comply with FIA requirements they shall forfeit entry into the competitions. The standard terms and conditions of the selected product shall apply.
- Direct families are defined as parents, children, siblings, spouses, and life partners.
3. How to enter the competition?
- Participation in the competition is automatic for any individual who finances a vehicle through Bank Windhoek during the competition period.
4. Competition Prizes
- Entrants stand a chance to win:
Competition 1
Three (3) lucky winners will sand a chance to win a Valentine’s Weekend Away at selected Gondwana lodge.
Terms:
- A Valentine’s Weekend Away for three (3) with compliments from Bank Windhoek.
- The winner must be a Bank Windhoek client, with an active salary account for 2 months or more.
- The luck draw will take place on Friday, 1st of February 2022 during which the winners would be announced.
Competition 2
Two (2) lucky winners will stand a chance to receive a “3 months Repayment on your vehicle on Us”.
Terms:
- Receive a 3-months payment holiday during April 2022 and June 2022 with complements from Bank Windhoek. The two winners will not be required to pay back the 3-months skipped.
- Allowable benefit per month not to exceed N$10, 000.00 per winner per month, for a period of 3 months.
- The winner must be a Bank Windhoek client, with an active salary account for 2 months or more.
- The lucky draw will take place on Friday, 6th of April 2022 during which the winner would be announced.
Winners Selection
All qualifying entries will be collated into a database and the winning entries will be selected by random system generated draw on:
1. 1st February 2022
2. 5th April 2022
Winners will be announced on:
1. 9th February 2022
2. 8th of April 2022
5. Draws and winners
- The first two entries and corresponding Vehicle & Asset Account numbers drawn will represent the winners for the specific month (initial winners).
- An additional three entries drawn will represent the alternative winners.
- The alternative winners will only become eligible for the prizes if the initial winner is not reachable for 5 calendar days after the first attempt to make contact or alternatively forfeits the prize according to any of the clauses mentioned in this Terms and Conditions document. The first, alternative entry will be utilized first as an alternative winner.
- The draw proceedings will be facilitated by a Bank Windhoek Business Intelligence officer and overseen by an Internal Auditor/Legal advisor to ensure that the draw is conducted in a fair and non-biased way.
- An entrant may only be declared a winner of one prize. For instance, should an entrant win a prize in competition 1, they will not be eligible to win a prize in competition 2.
- All winners’ accounts will go through a verification process with our Legal & Credit departments to ensure that they are not a reputational risk to the bank.
- Once all valid winners are confirmed as valid, the winners may be required to report to their nearest branch to sign for the acceptance of the prize and its terms and conditions.
- The winners will be notified telephonically to verify the identity, contact details and account details.
- The winners of Competition 1 can redeem the Weekend Away Vouchers or Winter Cash Back/ Break at their home branch after 10 working days. The vouchers must be redeemed at the relevant lodge within 6 months, to avoid automatically forfeiting the prize.
- Prizes: “3 months Repayment on your vehicle on Us” is capped to N$10, 000.00 per month for 3 months per winner.
- Prizes: “Valentine’s Weekend Away” has 3 different prizes, first place wins a trip valued at N$30, 520.00; second place wins a trip valued at N$13, 520.00; and third prize wins a trip valued at N$9, 676.00.
- No negotiation shall be entered into regarding the prizes; the judge’s decision is final.
- The winners’ consent to be photographed and their names and surnames being made public via various media channels.
- Any tax liability because of accepting the prize is the responsibility of the winners.
6. Other
- Entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Bank Windhoek reserves the right to disqualify any individual in breach of these Terms and Conditions. Bank Windhoek reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and claims and to disqualify any entrants who tampers with the entry process, or who submits an entry/claim not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
- Bank Windhoek and its associated agencies are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the competitions.
- Bank Windhoek reserves the right to do credit vetting on all entries into this competition and disqualify any individual who has a bad rating according to the Credit ratings.
- Bank Windhoek reserves the right to in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who Bank Windhoek has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition. Bank Windhoek’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
- If an entrant is identified as a winner, by accepting the prize the winner accepts full responsibility for the trip and agrees that Bank Windhoek will not be held liable for any negative consequences as a result of the trip.
- All entries become the property of Bank Windhoek. Bank Windhoek collects personal information about the entrants in order to conduct the Competition and to enable them to participate in this Competition, but no further use of this information will be made without the permission of the entrants, unless the information is a basic requirement in order to provide the service linked to the Vehicle Account. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the Competition.
- If for any reason the competitions are not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Bank Windhoek, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, Bank Windhoek reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify the terms of the Competition including these terms and conditions, and/or to cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
